About the Film
Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere is a gripping, intimate portrait of Bruce Springsteen at one of the most pivotal moments of his career. Rather than chronicling stadium tours and stardom, the film dives inward, capturing the raw, lonely, and deeply creative period that led to the making of the haunting album Nebraska.
Set in the early 1980s, the story follows Springsteen as he retreats to a small house in New Jersey after his hugely successful The River tour. Battling doubts, personal turmoil, and creative uncertainty, he turns to a simple 4-track recorder — and produces some of the most powerful, stripped-down songs of his life. The film explores his relationships, his inner struggles, and his determination to remain artistically honest in a world hungry for hits.
