Ukulada

Ada, known online as Ukulada, has been immersed in music since the age of six, when she first picked up the violin. After eight years of classical training, she discovered the ukulele during the quarantine period—and was instantly captivated. Soon, she began sharing her covers on social media under the name @ukulada, where her talent quickly caught worldwide attention.

Her skill and creativity led her to become the youngest Flight Ukulele endorser in Slovenia. Since then, Ada has performed at numerous festivals and events, including UkuleLent (four times!), Ukefest Maribor, the Austrian Ukulele Festival (2022, Graz), Špil Liga at Kino Šiška, VičStock Festival (2023), the Czech Ukulele Festival (2023), Soboški dnevi (2024), and many more.

Ada specializes in fingerstyle ukulele, always exploring new expressive possibilities and adding her own unique touch to each piece she plays. Alongside covers, she is now devoting time to developing her own original compositions.

With her fresh energy, skillful playing, and personal style, Ukulada is quickly becoming one of the most exciting young voices on the international ukulele scene.

About the Trieste Ukulele Club

The Trieste Ukulele Club, founded in February 2022, is a welcoming community of music lovers who share a passion for the ukulele. We meet every other Saturday morning for fun, informal sessions that are open to everyone—beginners, seasoned players, and all ages from 8 to 80.

Our motto, “Better Fun Than Perfect”, captures our spirit: we value joy, connection, and creativity over perfection. Members have gone from strumming their very first chords to performing together at major public events, including Trieste Maker Faire in Piazza Unità, Monopolele Ukulele Festival a Monopoli, and Sala Luttazzi.

Thanks to the support of the U.S. Department of State, the club is more than just music—it’s also about skills-building, music diplomacy, and English language learning, all through the universal language of the ukulele.

Participation is free with online registration, and instruments are available on loan for beginners who want to give it a try.
