An exhibition, English-language conversations, prizes, and fascinating stories celebrating the FIFA World Cup 2026

TRIESTE – Even though Italy will not be participating in the FIFA World Cup 2026, the world’s biggest sporting event is still coming to Trieste.
From June 10 through July 8, 2026, American Corner Trieste and Associazione Italo Americana FVG are organizing World Cup 2026 Month, a month-long series of free events dedicated to the U.S. host cities, American culture, and the stories behind the world’s most watched sporting tournament.
The initiative is open to everyone and includes an exhibition, English-language conversations, games, prizes, trivia, and activities designed for both soccer fans and anyone interested in the United States.
AN EXHIBITION TO VISIT ALL MONTH LONG
Throughout the duration of the program, visitors are invited to explore a free exhibition dedicated to the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The exhibition includes:
• A photo gallery highlighting major FIFA events in the United States
• A collection of artistic posters featuring the eleven U.S. cities that will host World Cup matches
• Informational displays about the host cities, stadiums, and local traditions
From New York to Los Angeles, from Miami to Seattle, visitors can discover America’s World Cup through images, design, and fascinating stories.

Beyond the Pitch
Every Wednesday at 5:00 PM, the public is invited to join a series of informal English-language conversations exploring the most fascinating aspects of the World Cup.
Of course, we may talk a little about the matches and tournament highlights, but our focus is on going “beyond the pitch” to explore the host cities, fan traditions, food, music, entertainment, travel, and American culture surrounding the tournament.
Each session will also include:
