Our Women’s Book Club is a warm, welcoming space for women who love reading, speaking English, and sharing ideas. We meet once a month to dive into books by American authors, covering everything from contemporary fiction and memoirs to literary classics and new voices.
You don’t have to be an English native speaker – just bring your curiosity, your reading glasses, and your voice! 📖✨
📅 When & Where We Meet
- Monthly on Thursday evenings at 18:00
- Location: American Corner Trieste, Piazza Sant’Antonio Nuovo, 6 – Trieste
- Enjoy your book talk over a cup of coffee or a drink in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. 🍷☕
📖 How It Works
- Everyone reads the selected book in English before each meeting.
- Meetings are held in English, so it’s a great chance to practice your language skills.
- The group submits book suggestions and votes on the reading list at the beginning of each reading year, making the selections truly participant-driven.
- Stay connected between meetings via our English-language WhatsApp group!

October 6, 2026, 6 pm – Conference: Man vs Sea – Professor Leonardo Buonomo discusses Moby Dick, The Old Man and the Sea and the film Jaws. In the Barcolana Cultura Program. You can read which ever book you prefer. Moby Dick and The Old Man and the Sea are available online on Project Gutenberg. Yes. exceptionally this meeting is on a Tuesday.
